SEO Means Business Viability for Joseph Hendrix Photography
New travel photography site achieves search engine rankings with Gravitate SEO.
Portland, OR – November 21, 2007 – Gravitate Design Studio launched a SEO campaign for Joseph Hendrix Photography last month, and already the site rankings have shown significant improvements.
The Joseph Hendrix Photography website showcases thousands of Joseph's digital landscape photos from Europe, Africa and the U.S. After years spent traveling and living in Europe, Joseph has compiled a stunning portfolio of professional travel photography. These digital photos are offered royalty free for personal use; visitors can download photos for stock photography or buy a travel photo print.
When Joseph contacted Gravitate in September the site was literally invisible on the search engines; it was indexed, but not receiving any search results. Not only that, but it was a new site with little text – making it very unlikely that the site would achieve search engine rankings anytime soon.
Gravitate advised Joseph in making subtle site changes to appeal to search engines and visitors alike. Gravitate wrote new content, built new pages, and wrote custom meta tags for every page of the large site. After being live for only a few weeks, the SEO campaign has already made incredible improvements to the site's online visibility; Joseph Hendrix Photography is now ranking on Google for many competitive phrases, such as “travel photography prints”.
Now that the site is properly optimized, Gravitate will focus on building inbound links to the site to increase its PageRank as well as visitor traffic. And Joseph is improving his visibility by tapping into the vast online photography community: by creating a travel photography blog, participating in Flickr forums and joining travel photography groups.
